The Late Revd Dave Warren

The Revd Dave Warren, the much loved, popular and former Priest In Charge at St Alban's, passed away on Tuesday 27 July 2021, following a heart attack and subsequent stroke. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy are with Peggy, Tanya, Sharon and all Dave's family at this sad time.

Dave was ordained in 1987 and was encouraged to pursue his vocation by St Alban's churchwarden and friend, Ken Webling. He served as Assistant Priest and then as Priest In Charge until his retirement in 2005, continuing to assist in parish ministry both in this parish and in his new parish in Deal - Dave and Peggy moved there in 2014. He will be greatly missed by the many parishioners who knew and worshipped with him..

His memory will be celebrated at the service which will be held at St Alban's on Sunday 8 August 2021.

The funeral was held at 12 Noon on Thuesday 17 August 2021 at Barham Crematorium. The order of service cover is attached below (pdf). The closing poem "Friends' by John Sylvester is shown on the home page. A number of Mottingham parishioners who knew Dave well were able to attend.
