St Andrew's 2019 Nativity Service - Away in a Manger

Monday 16th December 2019

The 2019 St Andrew's Children's Nativity took place during the Sunday Service on 15 December and was a truly joyful occasion. 'Away in a Manger' involved all of the children in presenting an uplifting and tuneful account of the Nativity as seen from the animals' perspective!

"Mabel and Megan the Mules are not happy! All they want to do is munch away on some fresh hay and settle down to a peaceful night's sleep, but one by one they find a hen, a mouse, a bird, and a spider in their manger and they don't like sharing it with anyone! Chasing them all away, Mabel and Megan try to settle down to sleep when suddenly there is yet more commotion. Why is there a baby in the manger? And why have shepherds and kings come all this way to see him? We join Mabel, Megan and their friends as they try to puzzle out exactly what is going on in their stable!"

A wonderful performance and great fun for all involved as well as the congregation - a true expression of what church is and means for all. Thanks to all involved and especially to the director, Laura Baugh.
